Susanna Katter – visual artist
As an artist, Susanna Katter tries to create a connection between herself and other people through her work.
She uses various media such as painting and collages on canvases and large walls in public spaces to creatively express her thoughts, feelings and perceptions. Her main focus is on the exploration of perception and the fusion of reality and illusion, as well as memories, i.e. past experiences that distort and change the individual perception of reality.
Susanna Katter is a designer and artist born in Graz 1994 and studied in linz at the art university grafic and photography and is currently living and working back in graz.
She is an activley organisation member of sama kollektiv and now also part in Schaumbad Graz where she shares an atelier with other artists.
She unfolds her creative work in a wide range of media, including graphics, photography, canvases and in public space. Her motifs are diverse and often deal with the tension between reality and illusion.
In her works, she sets realism and abstraction in an dialogue. In doing so, she also explores the world of fragmented memories and expresses them in her works.
"As an artist, my goal is to establish a profound connection between myself and others through my works. I use various mediums such as painting and collage from canvas to big scale in urban places to creatively express my thoughts, feelings, and perceptions. Currently, I am delving deeply into the relationship between humans and animals."
